 In our hectic, modern lives, many of us focus so heavily on work and family commitments that we never seem to have time for pure fun and advance our mental development as a habitual exercise. Somewhere between childhood and adulthood, we stopped playing. When we carve out some leisure time, we’re more likely to zone out in front of the TV or computer than engage in fun games, rejuvenating play like we did as children. But play is not just essential for kids; it can be an important source of relaxation and mind stimulation for adults as well. 

Playing games that teach us strategy and coping mechanisms is a sure way to fuel our imagination, creativity, problem-solving abilities, and promote our emotional well-being. Adult play is a time to forget about work and commitments, and to be social in an unstructured & creative way which are essential for our continued mind development. With modern technology the gaming industry has been moved onto computer platforms and smart TVs. This phenomenon has been heavily and socially taxing, especially, for families where parents seem to find it, at least, challenging to have a say on their kids' compulsion to be fixated, for a significant number of hours, on computer screens or smart TVs and, consequently,  a potential loss in the new behavior which can render our their minds dull, if the habit becomes addictive and an overdose of digital devices permeates their entertainment space.

While play is crucial for a child’s development, it is also beneficial for people of all ages. Play can add joy to life, relieve stress, supercharge learning, and connect us to others and the world around us. Play can also make work more productive and pleasurable.
